Google Inc. made yet another step in crushing duplicate content websites. As part of E-marketing strategies, many online businesses would publish their content to sits like Ezinearticle, Goarticles, and other “online magazine” pages in an attempt to build up their organic page rankings through backlinks. This was a method Google deemed as “cheating the system”.

Google recently implemented Meta tags that allow the search engine to distinguish between original and syndicated content on Google News and beyond. As a consequence, this duplicate content strategy became extinct overnight.

As a result, businesses scrambled, desperately sending their marketing departments to find alternatives. Since this was a major part of their ad campaigns, they needed to find an alternative, and fast. Research led to more research, and nothing seemed to be as effective.

How Does Blog Advertising Work?

Blog advertising is the best way to start link building in the current Internet climate, and the forecast shows that it’ll stay that way for awhile. Blogs and social media are taking off, and they’re becoming more integrated than ever.

Unlike duplicate content sites, blogs are run by real people with real stories to share. Blog advertising connects with potential users and customers because it is a relaxed setting. Instead of throwing banner ads, pop-ups, or reference links in the face of clients, you’re giving them links to relevant information so you generate real leads with an interest in your products, services, and website.

Blog advertising typically works in two ways: One type of post will prompt bloggers to write about an advertised product with an embedded photo or link, while the second type of blog advertising is a press release where a pre-written piece of news or an announcement is released on a blogger’s page.

These methods generate relevant, permanent backlinks that strengthen the relevancy of your site on organic searches. The best way to climb the ranks on Google is to be discussed on many sites, and blog advertising is as wide-ranging and diverse as can be imagined. Because of this, it is the perfect link building opportunity for both established website and up-and-coming titles.

Because these bloggers have their own perspectives, writing styles, and opinions, there is no better way to get unique content reviews for your product or website. These reviews reach thousands upon thousands of readers, generating excitement and intrigue for your company and their brands.

Spending thousands and thousands of dollars on advertising could get you the same result, but blog advertising is cost-effective and high on impact. Reaching thousands of users for such a low price would once have been impossible before the boom of the blogosphere.

Let BlogAdvertisingStore.com help you launch your E-marketing campaign. Blog advertising is a powerful tool that will allow your company to reach thousands of new customers. We’ll be with you every step of the way.

Business directories have been recognized as a great place to get increased exposure for your website and for your business for a long time. Nowadays many people know about the benefits of submitting to business directories yet executing a simple plan often seems to be where companies falter.

A smart, efficient and consistent strategy when it comes to business directories are the key ingredients to running a successful business directory campaign that gets results. contrary to what is often now said about business directories, they still can have a tremendous positive impact on a marketing strategy.

This is because many business directories have focused themes that the search engines respect. Having a listing in one of the directories in a theme that is related to your business is a great way to get quality links back to your website.

Many businesses start on a pathway of submitting to business directories to increase their online visibility only to realize that the process of submitting on a consistent basis proves to be too tough of a task to keep up. Grammar, spelling and consistent listings of phone numbers and addresses are all needed to make the task of posting a worthwhile one. There is nothing worse than posting poor or inconsistent information to a business directory that makes you look worse than having not submitted one at all. Alternatively, writing good content and quality listings allows potential customers to learn about the products that you offer and the services that you provide.

Writing great professional content does not just mean writing a bunch of words, submitting your listing and your work is done. It is best to begin with a sound strategy that covers the in particular directories that you want to be listed in. The best way to get new visitors to your website is to submit within business directories that you or potential customers would find valuable. Simply advertising within each one of your listings is a quick way to turn new customers away.

As far as the rules that certain business directories have, they differ from site to site. A few of the core principles include writing relevant business titles that have enough substance to be considered worthwhile. Now is not the time to be catchy because you want customers to know exactly what it is that your company provides. Contrary to article directories, business listings requires that the information is succinct, informative, and accurate.

Another tenet that the business directories operate on is consistency between the listed phone number and the city that your company is listed in. Failure to comply to this rule results in poor results and in some cases termination from the business directory. Some directories have specific rules about how many website links can be included in the postings, whether they can be within the body of the submission or in certain areas.

Above all things you should be professional and informative. Some directories give you the option of including whether there are transportation options around your business, your business hours, parking options, and other relevant information that customers often look for. The better and more complete your information, the better chance that your business listing will be found by potential customers.

Long before search engines like Google and Yahoo were created, web directories were popular. These directories contained links to a wide variety of different websites and categorized them in a way that allowed visitors to quickly and effortlessly find the information they needed. Business web directories offered the visitor a quick way to access the goods and services they need.

However, few people realize the importance of web directories as it concerns individual businesses. Web directories are very important for businesses who are looking to increase their exposure and draw more attention to their products. Today, we are going to cover the five benefits of business web as seen from the businesses point of view.

Ability to Target Your Demographic

One of the most important functions of business web directories is the ability to offer visitors links that are categorized according to geographical region or interest. The key to any marketing campaign is to target the product or service with the demographic that is the most likely consumers of the product or service. Business web directories allow visitors to drill down to the services they want according to a number of factors which include geographical location or products offered. This allows the business the opportunity to target the customers who are more likely to buy the product offered.

Better Quality Traffic

Search engines accept and list just about any site that is submitted to them, regardless of the site’s quality. This can result in poor and unproductive traffic. Business web directories on the other hand are usually reviewed by editors to ensure that they are of the highest quality and relevance. This high standard of quality builds a loyal clientele for the web directory, which results in better quality traffic for your business.

Better Relevance

Business web directories give visitors more relevant search results. If a person does a search for a particular product on a search engine, then he will end up getting many results which aren’t relevant to his search. On the other hand, a business directory will have categories that will allow him to fine-tune his search. This relevance allows the consumer to be matched up with the business he wants to find.

Better Sales Ratios

Visitors who frequent your business via a business search engine are more likely to buy the goods or services you are selling. This is because the visitor has read the description to your site and specifically selected your business out of the other businesses that are located on the directory. Now contrast this with results from a search engine and you can immediately see the advantage. Visitors who come to your site via a search engine may have found your site based on a more general search. They may or may not be your target demographic.

Link Building

One of the prime advantages of listing your site on a business web directory is that it allows you to build relevant incoming links to your business. As many of you may already know, link building is one of the building blocks of any SEO campaign. Having more relevant incoming links allows your site to rise in the search engines and draw in more customers. Better search engine results and more customers results in more business for your organization.

A business web directory is a directory much like a printed directory. However, instead of being in a form of printed media, its information is contained electronically on the World Wide Web.

A business web directory is an electronic media used to link several websites together under a common category. Subsequently, the business web directory divides the broader categorical links into narrower subcategories. For example, a person looking for a dog groomer would begin their search in the business web directory looking for a pet category. Once the pet category is found, the person would then look for a groomer sub division. Once inside the pet groomer subcategory, the person would look for dog groomers. While looking for a particular link, the person will have the opportunity to select, desired region, language or any other special requirements. A business web directory will specialize in the type of business it is promoting.

In a business web directory, the webpage links are not listed based upon a few keywords. This is because the web business directory is not a general search engine but a website for a more specialized search. The information provided in the business web directory will vary. Most business web directories will include the business’s name, address, telephone numbers, location and the type of services or products that are provided. Sometimes the business web directory’s main webpage will include a feedback section for customer feedback, comments and reviews.

A majority of the people using business web directories know exactly what they are looking for. That person is looking for a particular direct link to the subject they are searching under. For example, while using a popular search engines, a person looking for local retail shops will encounter at least a hundred possible links. In addition to extra retail store links, the person may come across extra advertisements, numerous pop-ups, and lost of valuable time. The intent of the directory’s searcher is to bypass the unnecessary advertisements, pop ups, and un-useful links associated with a general search of the world wide web. The categorizing of the websites are specifically based upon the contents of the whole website and not just a few listed links on the main directory. A business web directory lists only a limited number of subcategories pertaining to the bigger category.

Being that a web directory is not a general search engine, but a more specialized directory, it contains a better quality of useable links. The business web directory will have a varity of listings depending upon the advertiser’s specification. While most listings are free of charge to view, some others are reciprocal links. Reciprocal links are links where when clicked on, it leads to another link.

Much like a printed business directory, the web business directory, is available at your fingertips. The electronic media is more manageable than the printed business directory. The electronic media uses less physical storage space and is always available in different locations. The only common tool needed to access the electronic business directory is a connection to the internet. A web based business directory is easy to navigate. With the simple click of the back or forward button the user can switch between links with ease.

The web based directory benefits the business as well as the shopper. It allows the business to reach a wider range of clients and the web directory allows the shopper to access necessary information in a more efficient , less time consuming manner. This may increase the business’s revenue because it is reaching a broader audience.

In conclusion the business web directory is a favorable to both the business owners and its customers. The business web directory allows the customer to conduct business from the comfort of home and allows the business owner conduct business with an audience it may have not reached without the business web directory.

I have to say that over the last several years it seems harder and harder for a website to get any notice unless you are willing to spend truckloads of money on a professional PR campaign. That was until I started doing some research on topics dealing with page ranking with search engines and other services that help improve your chances of getting noticed.

One type of service I found and use quite frequently now are web directories. While doing my research I found that advertising your business via web directories can have a huge impact on your page ranking as well as just generally getting the word out.

Part of the page ranking formula is how many other sites link or have links to your website. By advertising your business via web directories you are affording yourself those links all on your own. No more waiting for someone to notice you and link to you. Do it yourself. I couldn’t believe how quickly this helps.

There are literally thousands of web directories out there. Advertising your business via web directories also has value added in that combined they get millions of hits a month from people using their services to locate businesses based on searches or categories. Most, if not all, have very nice organization making it easy to click through the categories and find the types of businesses or services customers are looking for and then presenting the businesses that offer these services.

When it comes down to it, I find that advertising your business via web directories accomplishes the two major goals in being found on the internet. Getting these services for free is just icing on the cake. Often I will use submissions engines and get my products posted to several web directories at the same time.

Now here are the nuts and bolts of advertising your business via web directories. First, read the rules. Obviously in order to keep things well organized and fair they all want to be sure the ads have similar formatting. Don’t use all caps in the titles unless they specifically request that all ad titles be in all caps. Generally they don’t want titles in all caps and will reject your ad if you do so. Second, nearly all web directories offer ad space for free. Most also offer premium ad space. I suggest starting out with free ads on every web directory you can find.

Then go back and find which ones have premium ads that are within your budget. Trust me, after advertising on web directories you will see results and your budget will increase over time even if your budget is zero right now. Finally, seek out free ad submission services. Remember, if you placed an ad in the newspaper, you would buy the paper to see your ad. When you are advertising your business via web directories you need to visit them as well to take a look at your ad. You don’t want to end up with a mistyped phone number or web address keeping people from finding your business.

Starting out with no budget and no one could find my business on the web. Web directories have gotten the word out simply by being there.
